Can’t wait to go back!

I’m lucky enough to live on the Keweenaw Peninsula, so started here and went clockwise. Tried to hit most of the renowned rock picking beaches and though the lake was rough most days, found a good bunch of agates at the roadside beaches on the MN north shore and near Grand Marais, MI. Most amazing to me was Split Rock Lighthouse (MN) and the restored keeper’s home, the views from More

Wow! What a trip!

We started in Sault Ste. Marie and went around the lake that way. Next time we will go the other way I think. So much to see and do! Check out the Split Rock Lighthouse and all the other lighthouses for sure. If you want to go to Isle Royale State Park, you need to book the ferry very early in the season. Lots of cool visitor centers and also More

We had no idea how awesome this trip would be!!

My husband and I love to travel and explore the world (We were engaged in Jelly Fish Lake in Palau). However, since having children, such travel has become difficult. Our boys were 7, 4, and 1 when we bought a 12 passenger van and decided to show them the driveable world now and deal with the rest later. We arrived in Duluth on Tuesday. Sept 13. Our first stop was the Lake Superior Outlet Store where we bought the Lake Superior Travel Guide and the Lake More

Camp, Kayak and Golf…

We began our trip at Pictured Rocks with a day of hiking and a late afternoon of kayaking at dusk on Kingston Lake. The next day we golfed in Brimley overlooking the lake and the “1,000 footers.” We camped in “The Soo” to the pleasant sounds of ship horns heading into and out of the locks. After a morning of more ship viewing and stocking up on provisions, we had More
