A Very Enjoyable Trip

My son, mother and I took the Lake Superior Circle Tour in August 2015. It was a very enjoyable trip. Our favorites were Duluth, Copper Harbor, Pictured Rocks, Ouimet Canyon, Sleeping Giant, and so many more places. Lots of waterfalls, and they were all so beautiful. My 19-year-old son did all of the planning using the Lake Superior Travel Guide and the Lake Superior, The Ultimate Guide to the Region. More

Well Worth It

My family and I were visiting family in Minnesota and were told about the Circle Tour of Lake Superior. We took in the views and a couple of ships at the Twin Ports of Duluth and Superior. The Upper Peninsula of Michigan offers some great views of the lake. The Canadian side is just as good. Some nice places to stop along the way include Ouimet Canyon, Split Rock Lighthouse, More

Highly Recommend It

We arrived in Duluth on June 21 and returned on July 5 after going clockwise around the lake. My dad had been on several mine tours before but thought the Soudan Underground Mine’s was the best he had seen. He was also impressed with Quincy’s. We had beautiful weather so we were really able to enjoy the shore views and waterfalls. I really enjoyed discovering the various views of Split More

Wonderful

My wife and I have had the wonderful opportunity to tour around Lake Superior two times now on our motorcycles. Ouimet Canyon and Kakabeka Falls were just a couple of Canadian highlights and Whitefish Point and the myriad of waterfalls in the U.P. were excellent too. Of course living in Michigan’s U.P. makes me biased… We would like a certificate filled out for both of us, along with the window More

We Loved It

My husband (Ron Simmons) and I completed the Circle Tour during the dates of Aug. 16-25, 2014. We stayed at and enjoyed Sleeping Giant Provincial Park and Rainbow Falls Provincial Park. We day-hiked Ouimet Canyon walked the longest suspension bridge in Canada in that same area. Next trip, we will zip-line at that same location. At Rainbow Falls, we saw a large, healthy grey wolf. Our Golden Retriever (Sally) was More

Already Talking About Another Trip!

My husband Mark and I completed the Circle Tour July 19. We began at Sault Ste. Marie and absolutely loved the experience. The scenery is breathtaking. We traveled with our dog and small camper. We stayed at the National park, private, city, state and national forest campgrounds, each with its own uniqueness and beauty. Kakabeka Falls, the Apostle Islands, Ouimet Canyon, the moose, bear and birds we saw made this More

Enjoyed Every Minute

My wife and I, accompanied by our dog, Tyler, did the Circle Tour from September 4 through September 14, 2013, and enjoyed every minute of it. Highlights for us included the High Falls on the Pigeon River, Kakabeka Falls, Fort William Historical Park, Ouimet Canyon, gourmet dining, including a fabulous dessert, at the Serendipity Gardens Café in Rossport, Aguasabon Falls and Canyon, another fantastic dinner at Kinniwabi International Cuisine in More

Our Trip Around Lake Superior

Starting on July 2, 2013, my husband and I made the trip around Lake Superior. Starting from Milford, Michigan, we entered Canada at Sault Ste. Marie. We spent the first two nights at Lake Superior Provincial Park, tent camping at the Agawa Bay campground. We loved the quiet, no-radio sites, hiking to the waterfalls on the Sand River and seeing the pictographs at Agawa Rock. From there we drove to More

We Did It!

Dear Circle Tour Club: WE DID IT! My girlfriend and I finally did the Lake Superior Circle Tour! On June 12, we left Dayton and returned on June 20. We started the tour at Sault Ste. Marie, watching 2 freighters in the locks – one going east and one going west. We then crossed the International Bridge and stopped at the Visitor’s Center to exchange money (and to get a More
