We traveled from Big Lake, Minnesota to Bayfield, WI on our first day. Used The Ultimate Guide the Whole Way!

Our favorite things about the Circle Tour were Ouimet Canyon, Grand Marais, MN, our ride on the Lutsen Mountain Gondolas, Kakabeka Falls and the Sault Ste. Marie Bush Plane Museum. More than anything, the peacefulness of Lake Superior and the Wild Western Shore. We used the Lake Superior, The Ultimate Guide to the Region, and went to every place that had a photo in the book! Really Liked Duluth and Sault Ste. Marie

We just returned home from our Circle Tour around Lake Superior. We started out in Duluth on July 20 and arrived home in Illinois on July 28. We really liked Duluth and Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. We were very disappointed in the Lutsen Mountain area. In mid-summer they close the aerial tram ride 2 days a week, so we could not experience that. Their website does NOT say the ride is More
