Completing the Tour, Canadian Side

When contemplating where to go for fall color viewing, Lake Superior came to mind. We decided on an excursion to the Canadian side, the only part of the Big Lake we had not seen on previous travels. Some of our favorite spots: Pictured Rocks, The Fishbasket in Munising, MI, Laurium Manor Inn in Laurium, MI. We loved the Soo Locks as well as the Lockview Restaurant there. In Wawa, ON, the Kinniwabi Pines Restaurant was great! In Lake Superior Provincial Park, the Agawa Pictographs were well worth the rugged hike. Also a great hike in Pukaskwa National Park. Superior Country lived up to its name for our second complete circle tour!

We took two weeks to circle Lake Superior this summer and had fun everywhere we went eating whitefish, poutine, pasties and blueberries and blueberry pancakes. We bought thimbleberry jams from the Jam Lady and at Jampot in Eagle River/Eagle Harbor, MI. We had a fun time riding the boat at the Soo Locks. The boardwalk in Sault Ste.
