Summer 2019 Superior Tour

We circled clockwise, starting in Duluth. The lake was amazing! We did it in about 9 days, but would have easily spent more time if we could. The weather was perfect. We loved the parks, waterfalls, boat cruises but our favorite family activity was just finding a beach to skip rocks and rock hound. We made sure to earn Junior Ranger badges at all the National Park sites we went More

A Pre-Fall Tour

I didn’t think about Fall Colors when I planned this trip. Saw some color on the Keeweenau Peninsula, but that’s the only place. Enjoyed revisiting the South Shore and Sault Ste. Marie. The Canadian Bushpilot Heritage Center in the Sault Ste. Marie, Canada, is an awesome place for plane enthusiasts. The best views of the Big Lake were on the North Shore where I spend my summers.

Our Tour

My sister and I celebrated our June birthdays this year by driving around this beautiful lake (she is 66 and I am 75 years old). We drove clockwise and took eight days, and we should have taken more time because we missed a lot.
