A Superior trip Around Lake Superior!

As a National Park geek, I wanted to take advantage of the National Park sites in and around Lake Superior, with Isle Royale National Park as the main focus. Our Amazing Circle Tour

The lighthouses and waterfalls were spectacular. Amnicon Falls, Gooseberry Falls, Tahquamemon Falls were great. The Shipwreck Museum at Whitefish Point on a rainy, windy day reminded us just how stormy Lake Superior can be. We took the sunset cruise at Pictured Rocks and were on the cruise ship when a family of four were rescued from the rocky coastline. CanAm Around the Lake

We had the best time taking our Spyder around Lake Superior! Overall breath taking views of the lake all the way around. We had Great weather the entire time 70’s – mid 80’s every day. The Merry Widows on the Circle Tour

We started in Duluth, MN and ended in Ontonagon, MI. Or favorite stops in Minnesota were Two Harbors, Beaver Bay and Gooseberry Falls. The Ontario section of the trip included beautiful scenery. Great Scenery

Circuit Completed

My husband and I embarked on the circle tour on Aug. 2 (Tuesday) and completed it on Aug. 13 (Saturday) with a thoroughly enjoyable amble around the Lake by car. Our Lake Superior Circle Camping Trip

We began in Toronto, north to Algonquin Provincial Park on July 13, then to Killarney Provincial Park (strictly speaking Georgian Bay, but gorgeous), past Sault Ste.
