Best 2 week vacation we’ve ever had!

Our most memorable vacation ever! We found friendly people living all around the lake. It’s difficult to pick out a favorite spot, but I guess mine was seeing the spherical rocks of the lakeshore near Terrace Bay. Rita’s favorite was the walking suspension bridges of Eagle Canyon. We will be making that trip again soon! Paul Kamps & Rita Gahagan, Middleton, WI

Lake Superior Circle Tour

We have a truck camper and traveled counterclockwise around the Lake beginning at Sault Ste. Marie, (enjoyed the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre there). We figured we would begin with Canada since we had never been there before and were most excited to see that portion and Minnesota. We traveled the first 2 weeks of August 2019 and had the nicest weather possible, very little wind, calm water, and no bugs. More

Trip of a Life Time

We spent the summer and early fall seeing some of the most beautiful scenery anywhere. Started in Sault Ste. Marie, ON and ended up in SSM, MI three months later. We took our motorhome to some wonderful campsites. Highlights were almost too many to mention. If I had to pick I would say Ouimet and Eagle Canyons northeast of Thunder Bay and the sea caves from my kayak near Cornucopia, More

The Ontario Shore Was Gorgeous

We drove around Lake Superior on August 21-27, 2016. We are from Northern Wisconsin, near Ashland, so we’ve seen most of the southern shore of Lake Superior already. That being said, the Ontario shore was gorgeous! We did a few trading post tours that were really interesting, enjoyed breathtaking waterfalls, and took a couple short hikes. My favorite stop was in between Thunder Bay, ON, and Nipigon, ON, where we More

Best Motorcycle Trip I’ve Been On

Our Circle Tour trip ended on Sunday, Aug. 7, 2016. The beauty of nature from Duluth to Thunder Bay to Nipigon, to Wawa, to Sault Ste. Marie was absolutely beautiful motorcycling. The roads and weather were great. We stopped at Eagle Canyon Adventures in Dorion and walked the two suspension footbridges. Old Woman Bay in the Lake Superior Provincial Park, Wawa was my favorite stop. We also visited the Canadian More

Many Highlights

August 19-September 4, 2011. My wife and I and our dog, Lacey, enjoyed a great trip going clockwise around Lake Superior. We camped at several campgrounds including Twin Lakes Sate Park in Michigan; Amnicon Falls, Wisconsin; Sleeping Giant, Neys and Agawa Bay in Ontario; and then back to Straits State Park in St. Ignace, Michigan. There are many highlights to the trip. Our favorite was sighting a bear that had More
