The Lake Superior Travel Guide was an indispensable resource for planning and executing the trip. So many great places to stop and things to do, we could have spent a month doing everything we wanted. The Highlights were many. The views along the North Shore from Duluth to Sault Ste Marie were amazing. Camping at Pancake Bay Provincial Park was awesome. We had a great site right across from the beach. Whitefish Point Lighthouse had a ton of history on display and was neat to experience. The lakewalk in Duluth offered much to see and do. Ouimet Canyon Provincial Park had a nice trail and great views. If you are planning on camping in MN, I would recommend reserving a site well in advance. When trying to book the first day of the trip, many of the state park campgrounds were full. We were able to get a site at Cascade River State Park, which turned out to be nice. I would return to Pancake Bay/Batchawana Bay area to camp. I would also spend more time in the UP.
