2019 Lake Superior Circle Tour

We had taken this trip July 2013 traveling clockwise by car and staying at motels. This was pre-retirement, so we were both watching the clock/calendar, mindful of how many miles we needed to complete each day. It was a wonderful trip! We are now both retired, and purchased a Vistabule teardrop camping trailer that we tow with our Jeep. We decided to take the tour again, but counter-clockwise, camping along More

2019 Lake Superior Circle Tour

We set out intending a counter-clockwise route, but realized that due to Memorial Day Weekend, we might have difficulty finding campgrounds in the U.S. We were camping at Jay Cooke State Park in our Vistabule teardrop trailer when we made the decision to go clockwise. Lakes Michigan & Superior Circle Tours

We started the complete road trip on April 24 in Chicago, we stayed there for a few nights and hit the road going north on Lake Michigan. Our first night around Lake Superior we stayed in Big Bay lighthouse for one night and carried on to Ironwood where we stayed in the AmericInn for one night. Then we went on to Two Harbors, MN where we stayed at the Country More

I have a few memories of the trip. Near the end I remember things were getting a little tense between my dad and my uncle (who had some anger issues and was More
