We decided to allow two weeks so we could do everything we wanted and that was plenty of time. We took our 33′ fifth wheel trailer and were worried about campgrounds due to fall colors, but had no issues finding a spot to camp. There were a few campgrounds that closed Labor Day so I did do some calling ahead once we were close. I did not pre-book camp sites. The colors were fabulous!!! (which is why we did this in the fall). Rainbow Falls, near Rossport, was one of our favorite spots along with the Agawa Canyon Tour Train of Algoma Central Railway in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, also due to the colors. The canyon colors were spectacular! If you like waterfalls and are willing to hike, hiking along this trip was some of the best we have had, you can see beautiful waterfalls. My greatest disappointment was there were not a lot of little tourist type shops along the way. These little communities were not always very welcoming, they weren’t rude, just not friendly. I would recommend this trip to anybody and would think it would be just as great in the spring.
