Finished Our Trip!
We completed our Circle Tour on August 30th. We really enjoyed the Soo Locks Boat Tour, Minnesota’s North Shore Drive (Highway 61) and in Canada, Kakabeka Falls and Wawa. Dale & Mary Kay Carlson

We loved Copper Harbor, but the best part was seeing a black bear cub on the Gunflint Trail! Shelley Olson & Grace Sprague, Blaine, MN
Starting 8/14/17 at The Duluth Grill and ending at Lake Superior Magazine on 8/23/17. Most enjoyed: Copper Harbor and Whitefish Point. Found the boarded up industry and other businesses in Marathon, ON and in Munising, MI to be depressing. Dick & Roxann Johnson, East Bethel MN
I loved Copper Harbor and Old Fort William! Mary Burress, Lake Elmo, MN
Favorite places: Copper Harbor, Whitefish Point, and Minnesota’s North Shore Pat Sprague, Andover, MN
This is a spectacular, easy drive. We should have taken more time, made more stops and done some hiking. The Wawa area may have been our favorite but then, it all was. Oona and Jerry Lanahan
The sandy beach of Michipicoten Bay was amazing! Jim & Kathy Dittmann, Beaver Dam, WI
Our two trips were wonderful. We did the lower lake first in 2016. Sault Ste. Marie is a beautiful town. Loved Copper Harbor. Got to Duluth and Two Harbors. Great for Lake Freighter watching. This year, we traveled over the International Bridge and Canada — it was beautiful. Stayed in Thunder Bay a couple days watching ships. Went to Split Rock Lighthouse. Beautiful even climbing back up 170+ stairs to More
A trip I hope to take many more times in the years to come. From Copper Harbor to Rainbow Falls, there is no bad view of the lake. Worth the effort. Tom, Cindy, Katie & Clark Kubley, Ann Arbor, MI

However, little traffic and great roads made for a great ride. You can see our route taken on the map in the photos. We travelled clockwise, all on pavement. Lots of alternate route possibilities means another trip is a must! One item More
