Our Amazing Circle Tour

What a great trip! Loved all the sights, the weather was great and the people fantastic. Be sure to check out smoked fish north of Duluth and in Cornucopia, Wisconsin, all the amazing waterfalls and the boat tours at the Apostle Islands and the Pictured Rocks. 2017 Circle Tour

Seven of us rode motorcycles around the lake from Hawley, MN to Duluth, Thunder Bay, Wawa, Sault Ste. Marie, Marquette, Houghton, and back to Duluth, then home. One morning of drizzle and the rest of the time in sunshine. Great views, pretty scenery, and good roads. Only a few spots being repaired. Kirk Wilmore, Fargo, ND

Epic Lake Superior Motorcycle Trip

I describe it as endless beauty. More rugged beauty than the west coast. Terry Fox memorial in Thunder Bay should be championed more. What a great visit and I was surprised his story is not more well known. His campaign and monies raised for cancer research is incredible. Lots of Beaches, waterfalls and places to stretch legs. Apostle Islands kayaking is a must. Kendall’s fish smokehouse was a great find. More

Great Family Trip

Our favorites in no particular order were: Katherine Cove, Enger Tower, US Soo Locks, Tahquamenon upper falls, Amethyst Mine in Thunder Bay, Terry Fox Memorial, Winnie the Pooh park, Wawa’s goose, Whitefish Point Shipwreck Museum, Lakenenland near Munising. We also attended the Blueberry Festival in Marquette on July 28! The Wiens Family, Colwich, KS

Great Trip

This is the seventh year that my son, my grandson and I have done a motorcycle/camping trip. We started from Vermillion, South Dakota, and crossed into Canada at Sault Ste. Marie. We ran into rain at Moose Lake, Minnesota, and again at Marquette and Terrace Bay. The roads and the campsites were good, and I was only ripped off once in Canada when using U.S. dollars. It was a great trip! More

Superior Country lived up to its name for our second complete circle tour!

We took two weeks to circle Lake Superior this summer and had fun everywhere we went eating whitefish, poutine, pasties and blueberries and blueberry pancakes. We bought thimbleberry jams from the Jam Lady and at Jampot in Eagle River/Eagle Harbor, MI. We had a fun time riding the boat at the Soo Locks. The boardwalk in Sault Ste. Marie, ON and seeing the big duck was neat. We saw waterfalls More

Circling the Pond

This is our first long adventure with our “new” Little Guy teardrop-style camper. We enjoyed being off the ground, dry and warm during the mostly damp days of June 24 – July 7. Our major interests were fly fishing, canoeing and finding EarthCaches, but the tour guide led us to other treasures including many well-done visitor center displays. Our tour began in Grand Marais, Minnesota, where we spent two nights at More
