My husband Doug and I completed the Circle Tour on September 28, 2014. We went 1,670 miles in eight days, we could have used a couple more days. The vast amount of trees, streams, waterfalls, small lakes and the islands on Lake Superior were amazing. A few of our favorites were Kakabeka Falls, Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, Whitefish Point Shipwreck Museum, and so much more.
The most beautiful area for the fall colors was about a hundred miles north of Sault Ste. Marie and a hundred miles west. Some of the best high points to see the lake were in Canada, as we came out of Thunder Bay we were able to see the Sleeping Giant and in Grand Portage we could see Isle Royale. The whole trip was spectacular.
