We took the Lake Superior Circle Tour Aug. 6-17, driving counterclockwise. The drive was very enjoyable. The one disappointment we had was not being able to stop for the night when we wanted to. Prior to the trip I started checking on line for lodging accommodations and was surprised to find very limited options. Therefore I did make arrangements prior to leaving home. Due to the limited availability of accommodations we were often forced to back track to see some of the attractions on our to do list. Accommodations were even more limited in Canada.
We did enjoy many fine microbrews in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan. Tours of the Apostle Islands and Pictured Rocks were great.
Overall we travelled over 1,800 miles around Lake Superior.
