We Camped on Our Trip

My dog and I just completed the circle tour in 12 wonderful days. It was supposed to be a trip with my Mother as well but she passed away last spring and so I decided to do it in memory of her. Start date: August 15, end date: August 26.

Our trip started with a dog agility show in Thunder Bay and then we also spent a few days with a friend in Sudbury. We camped in a tent on our trip. There aren’t many motels to stay at in Canada. If that’s what you want (vs. camping) plan well ahead of time. We traveled from Minnesota clockwise. My favorite things? Fort William Historical Park in Thunder Bay and the Panorama Amethyst mine. My next favorite was Pukaskwa National Park on the northeast side of Lake Superior. The camping was fantastic and the hiking was amazing (all level of trails). The north side of Lake Superior was by far the best. If I were to suggest it to others, I would suggest traveling the south side first therefore leaving the best for last.

I was disappointed in the Michigan side as it was a lot what I am used to in Minnesota, trees and more trees. You didn’t see the lake much.

The time frame I went was great, tons of blueberries the entire trip. Thank You.
