A Great Trip!

I, along with my husband Kurt and two of our friends, rode the Circle Tour on Honda Gold Wing motorcycles. It was a lot of fun, as well as educational! Favorite spots include Whitefish Point, Michigan, which has a still-functioning lighthouse. It is close to the site where the Edmund Fitzgerald went down in a storm on November 10, 1975, with none of the crew surviving. The Great Lakes Shipwreck More

It Was a Positive Trip by Motorcycle

I departed Sault Ste. Marie, Canada, crossing the border into Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, at 7 a.m. on Aug. 19, 2014. I chose to travel in a clockwise manner because I had done the northern portion from Thunder Bay to Sault numerous times and wanted to see the southern shores of Lake Superior. I thoroughly enjoyed the travel when the road was closest to the water. The high points of More

Everything I Had Dreamed Of

I completed the circle tour by vehicle, specifically in my Jeep Cherokee, in 2014. I started by driving through Wisconsin. I made it to the north shore and found Cornucopia. This little town will forever be in my top favorite destinations. I found it by accident as the road I was on turned into a detour due to construction. There was a motel on the corner and next to it, More

It Was a Great Trip

We completed the Circle Tour on July 11, 2014. We think two things we will remember were the bread pudding at the Vanilla Bean in Two Harbors, MN, and the Kakabeka Falls at Thunder Bay. Thanks to your site and member comments it was a great trip. Max & Judy Cumberworth, Ithica, MI

We recently completed the Lake Superior Circle Tour by car as a married couple. June 18 through June 26 were the dates, start to finish, of our adventure. Our best experiences were as follows: The Pictured Rocks Cruise at Munising, Michigan. The mineral-stained cliffs were awe-inspiring with Mother Nature at her best! The boat tour provided us with up-close views at eye level as well as a verbal geological lesson More
