Everywhere Was So Beautiful

Highly Recommend It

We arrived in Duluth on June 21 and returned on July 5 after going clockwise around the lake. My dad had been on several mine tours before but thought the Soudan Underground Mine’s was the best he had seen. He was also impressed with Quincy’s. We had beautiful weather so we were really able to enjoy the shore views and waterfalls. I really enjoyed discovering the various views of Split More

The Whole Trip Was Spectacular

My husband Doug and I completed the Circle Tour on September 28, 2014. We went 1,670 miles in eight days, we could have used a couple more days. The vast amount of trees, streams, waterfalls, small lakes and the islands on Lake Superior were amazing. A few of our favorites were Kakabeka Falls, Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, Whitefish Point Shipwreck Museum, and so much more. The most beautiful area for More

We Loved It

My husband (Ron Simmons) and I completed the Circle Tour during the dates of Aug. 16-25, 2014. We stayed at and enjoyed Sleeping Giant Provincial Park and Rainbow Falls Provincial Park. We day-hiked Ouimet Canyon walked the longest suspension bridge in Canada in that same area. Next trip, we will zip-line at that same location. At Rainbow Falls, we saw a large, healthy grey wolf. Our Golden Retriever (Sally) was More

Everything I Had Dreamed Of

I completed the circle tour by vehicle, specifically in my Jeep Cherokee, in 2014. I started by driving through Wisconsin. I made it to the north shore and found Cornucopia. This little town will forever be in my top favorite destinations. I found it by accident as the road I was on turned into a detour due to construction. There was a motel on the corner and next to it, More

It Was an Awesome Trip!

We would like to join the Circle Tour Club! We left St. Louis, Missouri, on June 22 and just returned home today on July 5. We drove almost exactly 3,000 miles and our stops were: Porcupine Mountains: two nights, camped, hiked. Munising: three nights, stayed in a rental property. Pictured Rocks cruise, waterfalls, bikes on Grand Island. Pancake Bay Provincial Park: three nights, stayed in yurts on beach, great fishing. More

All in All, a Super Trip

We left Duluth on June 12 towing our camper and two dogs. First stop was Cascade River State Park just south of Grand Marais, MN. Nice park but no electrical hook ups. Next was Marie Louise Lake Campground in Sleeping Giant Provincial Park. Again, a nice park however the electrical hook up was quite a way away from our camper so we ended up “renting” a power cord for $100. More

Our Second Fall Trip

We just returned from our second fall trip around the Lake! Both times we went counterclockwise, taking 6-7 days. A week is not really long enough to see all great things along the way, but we have tried to visit new places with each trip. We were most surprised with all the hills in Ontario. We went the last week of September each time and the variability of color was More

My Favorite Experiences

I recently traveled by car clockwise around Lake Superior from September 15-21, 2013, starting in Duluth, Minnesota. Some of my favorite experiences along the way are: watching waves crash at Stoney Point, Minnesota, Kakabeka Falls, the incredible views at Thunder Bay Lookout and Kama Bay, Carden Cove and Pebble Beach in Marathon, Ontario, Magpie High Falls at Wawa, Ontario, and enjoying a rainbow over Copper Harbor, Michigan. But a highlight More
