Highly Recommend It

We arrived in Duluth on June 21 and returned on July 5 after going clockwise around the lake. My dad had been on several mine tours before but thought the Soudan Underground Mine’s was the best he had seen. He was also impressed with Quincy’s. We had beautiful weather so we were really able to enjoy the shore views and waterfalls. I really enjoyed discovering the various views of Split More

Favorite thing to do: The Pictured Rocks cruise! Even when the weather wasn’t that great – it was terrific! Tip: bring a 200-foot extension cord with you to the provincial park campsites. You’ll need it! Kay Osborne, St. More

Some of My Favourite Places

I started the Circle Tour on Aug. 10 and completed it Aug. 17 of 2014. Some of my favourite places on the tour were Lake Superior Provincial Park – specifically Agawa and Old Woman Bay, camping at Pancake Bay Provincial Park and Neys Provincial Park, Palisade Head and the Apostle Islands. I would love to receive the certificate of completion and the decal. Thanks so much! Ann Marie Sheehan, Loretto, More

It Was an Awesome Trip!

We would like to join the Circle Tour Club! We left St. Louis, Missouri, on June 22 and just returned home today on July 5. We drove almost exactly 3,000 miles and our stops were: Porcupine Mountains: two nights, camped, hiked. Munising: three nights, stayed in a rental property. Pictured Rocks cruise, waterfalls, bikes on Grand Island. Pancake Bay Provincial Park: three nights, stayed in yurts on beach, great fishing. More

Riding Around the Lake

My brother and I recently completed the Lake Superior Circle Tour this season. We spent June 20-23, 2014, traveling clockwise around the lake. I was on a 2006 Yamaha FZ6 and he rode a 2003 Honda ST 1100. As far as motorcycle riding goes, a full rain suit is a must, along with a few different tints of safety glasses, earplugs and gloves with extended cuffs. When crossing the border More

All in All, a Super Trip

We left Duluth on June 12 towing our camper and two dogs. First stop was Cascade River State Park just south of Grand Marais, MN. Nice park but no electrical hook ups. Next was Marie Louise Lake Campground in Sleeping Giant Provincial Park. Again, a nice park however the electrical hook up was quite a way away from our camper so we ended up “renting” a power cord for $100. More

Fulfillment of a Lifelong Dream

From August 18, 2012, to September 16 my friend Tracy Johnson and I bicycled around Lake Superior. We had some equipment problems and two full days of rest, so in total we rode 1,230 miles in 25 days. We carried all of our own gear and camped out all but three nights. I am middleaged and not in excellent shape, so I felt every windy, hilly mile. It is hard More

Highly Recommend to Anyone

I would like to join the Lake Superior Circle Tour Club. Both my wife and I decided to drive part way across Canada. But when looking at the maps we decided that we would drive around Lake Superior as part of this adventure. We only found out about your club when we were in Duluth. We live in Riverview, New Brunswick, and took 10 days to get to Sault Ste. More

Breathtakingly Beautiful

My wife and I just completed the Circle Tour. It was breathtakingly beautiful. We started in Duluth on June 23 and returned to Duluth on June 28. We live in Baxter, Minnesota, and it was 1,550 miles door-to-door. Our favorite spots were: Pancake Bay Provincial Park with its endless beaches and the quaint town of Copper Harbor, Michigan, with its views from the Brockway Mountain highway. We are already planning More
