We Loved It

My husband (Ron Simmons) and I completed the Circle Tour during the dates of Aug. 16-25, 2014. We stayed at and enjoyed Sleeping Giant Provincial Park and Rainbow Falls Provincial Park. We day-hiked Ouimet Canyon walked the longest suspension bridge in Canada in that same area. Next trip, we will zip-line at that same location. At Rainbow Falls, we saw a large, healthy grey wolf. Our Golden Retriever (Sally) was More

Already Talking About Another Trip!

My husband Mark and I completed the Circle Tour July 19. We began at Sault Ste. Marie and absolutely loved the experience. The scenery is breathtaking. We traveled with our dog and small camper. We stayed at the National park, private, city, state and national forest campgrounds, each with its own uniqueness and beauty. Kakabeka Falls, the Apostle Islands, Ouimet Canyon, the moose, bear and birds we saw made this More

Enjoyed Every Minute

My wife and I, accompanied by our dog, Tyler, did the Circle Tour from September 4 through September 14, 2013, and enjoyed every minute of it. Our Trip Around Lake Superior

Starting on July 2, 2013, my husband and I made the trip around Lake Superior. Starting from Milford, Michigan, we entered Canada at Sault Ste. Marie. We spent the first two nights at Lake Superior Provincial Park, tent camping at the Agawa Bay campground. We loved the quiet, no-radio sites, hiking to the waterfalls on the Sand River and seeing the pictographs at Agawa Rock. From there we drove to More

We Did It!

Dear Circle Tour Club: WE DID IT! My girlfriend and I finally did the Lake Superior Circle Tour! On June 12, we left Dayton and returned on June 20. We started the tour at Sault Ste. Marie, watching 2 freighters in the locks – one going east and one going west. We then crossed the International Bridge and stopped at the Visitor’s Center to exchange money (and to get a More

We Highly Recommend the Circle Tour

Enjoyed coffee each morning at Caribou Coffee. Duluth Pack is our favorite shop. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Grand Marais – We stayed at Best Western Plus Superior Inn & Suites. Very nice rooms, comfortable and clean. Liked the beds. We More

A Wonderful Trip

My husband, Clark, and I left on Monday, September 17 heading up the North Shore for what turned out to be a 9-day trip around the entire lake. Because we live in Duluth (and have seen the North Shore all our lives), we headed for Sleeping Giant Campground for our first night. Funny thing happened … we ran into our neighbors! Didn’t know they were making the trip and vice More

The Entire Trip Was a Blast

We traveled clockwise around Lake Superior starting on September 3, 2012, and finishing on September 8. We started in Northern Wisconsin, and took the Highway 13 loop to see Bayfield and the Apostle Islands. Stopped at several state parks on the north shore of Minnesota and camped at Split Rock Lighthouse State Park. Spent three days in Canada, camping at Sleeping Giant, Neys and Lake Superior provincial parks. Also stopped More

Breathtaking

Hello there. My husband and I just did the tour last week on motorcycles. The scenery was breathtaking! We both loved the Minnesota side the best. Because we were on motorcycles, we didn’t get a chance to enjoy the parks, but we did camp in one near Silver Bay. The sites were spacious and there were decent facilities. The waterfalls along the highway were stunning! We stayed at the McKenzie More
