Our Lake Superior Circle Camping Trip

We began in Toronto, north to Algonquin Provincial Park on July 13, then to Killarney Provincial Park (strictly speaking Georgian Bay, but gorgeous), past Sault Ste. Marie to Rabbit Blanket campground in Lake Superior Provincial Park. Absolutely fantastic sights and great hiking! And between the thunderstorms the weather was brilliant! Next we camped at Pukaskwa National Park for wild and beautiful vistas. Bald eagles on a tree over our tent More

Completed in Two Segments

We completed the Lake Superior Circle Tour a few weeks back. The details of our travels are as follows: In 2012, we travelled in our 26-foot Coach House Motor Home up the east coast and across the north to Michigan and up to Sault Ste. Marie. We stayed at the Soo Locks Campground on Aug. 1 for 3 nights. Next we headed to Tahquamenon Falls and then stayed at Gitchie More

A Beautiful, Scenic Ride Around Lake Superior

We left from Ishpeming and traveled east to the Canadian border, taking our time to take in all of the beautiful scenery. We stopped at the Lake Superior Provincial Park and hiked down to the Indian Pictographs. This is a piece of history that is slowly disappearing. We visited many many waterfalls and made our way to Wawa and then westward towards Thunder Bay. After that the trip south along More

Highly Recommend It

We arrived in Duluth on June 21 and returned on July 5 after going clockwise around the lake. My dad had been on several mine tours before but thought the Soudan Underground Mine’s was the best he had seen. He was also impressed with Quincy’s. We had beautiful weather so we were really able to enjoy the shore views and waterfalls. I really enjoyed discovering the various views of Split More

We camped four nights (Rainbow Falls Provincial Park in Rossport, Agawa Bay in Lake Superior Provincial Park, Bay Furnace near Munising, MI, and Fort Wilkins State More

Some of My Favourite Places

I started the Circle Tour on Aug. 10 and completed it Aug. 17 of 2014. Some of my favourite places on the tour were Lake Superior Provincial Park – specifically Agawa and Old Woman Bay, camping at Pancake Bay Provincial Park and Neys Provincial Park, Palisade Head and the Apostle Islands. I would love to receive the certificate of completion and the decal. Thanks so much! Ann Marie Sheehan, Loretto, More

The Beauty Was Unmatched

I completed the circle of Lake Superior this summer during the month of July 2014 as a solo trip at the age of 67. I completed the tour by bicycle and car. It was a colder and wetter experience than I expected but the beauty was unmatched by anything else I have been privileged to see. On the Canadian side, by far the most rugged and rural, the most beauty More

Overlooks at Pukaskwa Were the Best in the Whole Trip

My wife and I recently finished the Lake Superior Circle Tour for our Honeymoon on July 7 and we would like to receive our certificates from your organization. Our favorite spots to visit were in Michigan and Canada. The Michigan stops included Krupp’s Resort in Michigan where they served Blue Moon ice cream (my personal favorite) and the Keweenaw Peninsula where the driving was beautiful. We also enjoyed watching the More
