Our Circle Tour

We went on the Circle Tour with Paul and BJ Tjepkema. Counterclockwise from Sault Ste Marie. We stopped at the Lake Superior Magazine Store about the middle of the trip. We enjoyed many various places around the lake, like the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park and Split Rock Lighthouse to name a few. Bob & Bernice Fraham, Reed City, MI

We Had a Terrific Time

My wife and I completed our Circle Tour of Lake Superior. We left Duluth on August 13 and went counterclockwise around the lake, returning to Duluth on August 26. We had a terrific time. I believe our favorite spot would have to be Copper Harbor, but there were many terrific places along the way. We thoroughly enjoyed the state parks and provincial parks. Please send us the Certificate of Completion. More

I’m Sure We Will Be Coming Back

Four friends and I just completed the LSCT at the end of August. Seven great days of riding with pretty good weather, although it was very windy. Three of us were from Indiana and two from the Detroit area. We all met in Gaylord, MI and set out from there on a counterclockwise tour of the lake. We put on a total of 2,250 miles on two Harleys and three Hondas. More

We Didn’t Have a Bad Time Anywhere

We went with a group of us on motorcycles. Started at Gaylord, Michigan, and traveled counterclockwise. We stopped in Sault Ste. Marie and Wawa. Thunder Bay was a great place. We liked Silver Bay. The wind on the bridge in Duluth was incredible. We were leaning! We stopped in Houghton, then up to Copper Harbor and Brockway Mountain where it was very windy!! We took a picture of the bikes More

Very Enjoyable

We took the Lake Superior Circle Tour Aug. 6-17, driving counterclockwise. The drive was very enjoyable. The one disappointment we had was not being able to stop for the night when we wanted to. Prior to the trip I started checking on line for lodging accommodations and was surprised to find very limited options. Therefore I did make arrangements prior to leaving home. Due to the limited availability of accommodations More

Our Second Fall Trip

We just returned from our second fall trip around the Lake! Both times we went counterclockwise, taking 6-7 days. A week is not really long enough to see all great things along the way, but we have tried to visit new places with each trip. We were most surprised with all the hills in Ontario. We went the last week of September each time and the variability of color was More

So Beautiful

We left Mankato, Minnesota, on September 1 to do the Lake Superior Circle Tour counterclockwise. Going to Ashland first and continuing on from there, it was so beautiful. We put on 2,809 miles on our truck pulling our travel trailer. Our favorite among the many was Sault Ste. Marie and watching all the ships coming and going. There are so many places to see, we would love to go back More

We Loved All of It

We have just completed our first circle tour of Lake Superior. It has been in two parts. Summer 2012: we traveled in Michigan from Sault Ste. Marie to Copper Harbor, over a period of about 8 days. We (wife, Karen, and our 90# flat-coat retriever named Jake) were camping along the way except in Copper Harbor, when we stayed in the King Copper Motel. We loved all of it … More
