A Wonderful Trip!

We did the Lake Superior Circle Tour from July 3-12, 2015. What an awesome trip! It is so hard to pick favorites. Loved the view of Split Rock Lighthouse from afar. Watching climbers at Palisades Cliffs. Grand Marais was a cute little town (great meal at The Angry Trout). We saw a bear on the Gunflint Trail. High Falls and Kakabeka Falls were just the beginning of many beautiful falls. More

A Beautiful, Scenic Ride Around Lake Superior

We left from Ishpeming and traveled east to the Canadian border, taking our time to take in all of the beautiful scenery. We stopped at the Lake Superior Provincial Park and hiked down to the Indian Pictographs. This is a piece of history that is slowly disappearing. We visited many many waterfalls and made our way to Wawa and then westward towards Thunder Bay. After that the trip south along More

Marie border, I would suggest going counterclockwise. Which part of the More

Because we were on motorcycles, we didn’t get a chance to enjoy the parks, but we did camp in one near Silver Bay. The sites were spacious and there were decent facilities. The waterfalls along the highway were stunning! We stayed at the McKenzie More

Many Highlights

August 19-September 4, 2011. My wife and I and our dog, Lacey, enjoyed a great trip going clockwise around Lake Superior. We camped at several campgrounds including Twin Lakes Sate Park in Michigan; Amnicon Falls, Wisconsin; Sleeping Giant, Neys and Agawa Bay in Ontario; and then back to Straits State Park in St. Ignace, Michigan. There are many highlights to the trip. Our favorite was sighting a bear that had More

Saturday night we stayed at Brimley State Park. Sunday morning Frank and I left the other four and headed for Copper Harbor, Michigan, via Whitefish Point. We didn’t make it that far the first day. We stayed in More
