My husband and I just returned after completing the Lake Superior Circle Tour. We left on Tuesday, Aug. 16 and returned Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016.
Day #1 we traveled from our home in New Richmond, Wisconsin to Grand Marais, Minnesota and stayed at Grand Marais Municipal Campgrounds.
Day #2 we traveled to Thunder Bay, Ontario and camped at Sleeping Giant Provincial Park.
Day #3 we went to Kakabaka Falls and Fort William in Ontario and enjoyed it very much. Stayed at Sleeping Giant Provincial Park.
Day #4 we stayed at Rainbow Falls Provincial Park, Ontario. We visited the falls and hiked and did some more sightseeing.
Day #5 we stayed at Lake Superior Provincial Park, Ontario. It rained this day so we hunkered down a bit.
Day #6 we made it back to the U.S. and stayed at the city of Marquette’s Tourist Park.
Day #7 we traveled to Wisconsin and stayed at Washburn Memorial Camping Park in Washburn, Wisconsin.
Day #8 we made it home to New Richmond, Wisconsin.
We traveled 1,593 miles total. We had an amazing time, we saw a lot of beautiful sights and met a lot of very nice people. We bought a 25-foot Airstream travel trailer about a month before we left and took it on its maiden voyage. We would highly recommend it, we had a great adventure.
