We Had a Terrific Time

My wife and I completed our Circle Tour of Lake Superior. We left Duluth on August 13 and went counterclockwise around the lake, returning to Duluth on August 26. We had a terrific time. I believe our favorite spot would have to be Copper Harbor, but there were many terrific places along the way. We thoroughly enjoyed the state parks and provincial parks. A Very Enjoyable Trip

My son, mother and I took the Lake Superior Circle Tour in August 2015. It was a very enjoyable trip. Our favorites were Duluth, Copper Harbor, Pictured Rocks, Ouimet Canyon, Sleeping Giant, and so many more places. Lots of waterfalls, and they were all so beautiful. My 19-year-old son did all of the planning using the Lake Superior Travel Guide and the Lake Superior, The Ultimate Guide to the Region. More

People, places and parks we stayed at were great, booked ahead of time so no second-guessing on where we would drop our tires at night! Looking forward to reading others’ experiences on where to stay, as we plan on going again next summer! Thanks. Darcy Brambrink, More

Best Trip Ever

My buddy and I just completed the Circle Tour on Friday, Aug. 21, 2015. Started in Duluth and went clockwise, ended in Duluth. Took us four days! Best trip ever, even though it rained continually for 3 of our 4-day trip. Our favorite spots had to be all along the north coastline past Thunder Bay and heading towards Sault Ste. Marie. Beautiful even in a rain storm! Wawa had one More

Advice for Travelers

We, a couple and a sister, traveled from July 14-28, 2015, in a 16-ft. Scamp trailer. The weather was great and we camped every night. Never made reservations ahead and always found a nice campsite, many sites directly on Lake Superior. Never used an electrical site. Camped in WI Municipal, MN State and National Forest, Ontario Provincial, MI National Forest, and State Forest campgrounds. Our favorite camping area was in More
