We just returned from our second fall trip around the Lake! Both times we went counterclockwise, taking 6-7 days. A week is not really long enough to see all great things along the way, but we have tried to visit new places with each trip. We were most surprised with all the hills in Ontario. We went the last week of September each time and the variability of color was amazing. We would like to revisit the south shore a bit more.
Serendipity Gardens in Rossport, Ontario, for lunch was outstanding. We had some amazing camping along the lake and other lakes along the way. Sleeping Giant Provincial Park is worth the short drive! McLain State Park was a great base for exploring Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula. Of course, the Jampot was yummy!
